GNREGISTRY ID: BGN00685B - Joe Guzman

E-MAIL: spotmy6@comcast.net

CLASS:  UHP - Ultra High Performance ( 11 second cars )

PART A - OWNERSHIP:  I purchased the GN site unseen in 1997 from Kirban for a very reasonable price. The GN had 204k miles on the odometer and I was the second owner.  The previous owner provided Kirban all the receipts he collected since the GN was purchased.  Kirban passed the receipts on to me when I purchased the car.  I had the car shipped from Kirban’s home to Chicago.  The car sat in the garage for about a year because of money constraints.  Once the GN was on the road, I had dumped several hundred dollars into the engine for just the minor bolt-ons upgrade and freshened-up the trans.  I played with the GN for a couple years and was able to get 12.90s in a ¼ mile.  By this time the GN had approximately 217k miles on the odometer.  In 2002 sent out the engine for a complete upgrade.

PART B -MOTOR:  Since the upgrade in 2002, the GN has been on the road and track.  It received a complete long block upgraded which consist of  two main cap, freeze plugs, 210 roller cam, JE piston, upgraded timing chain cover, champion iron heads, roller rockers, ported and polish intake and many other goodies. This is top with a T64E turbo, 51 lbs injectors and a precision front mount intercooler.  The GN currently has approximately 300k miles.

PART C - TRANNY:  The original 2004R transmission has been redone by Jimmy Transmission and has a PTS 9x11 converter. The rear end is still original.

PART D - SUSPENSION: Brake system is original with drill slotted front rotors. Rims are original and for the front tire I use a 205/65/15 and the back I use 255/60/15.  Racing tires I use MT ET Drag 26/10/15 tire on a T-type rim.  Rear suspension is set up with Metco’s upper and lower control arms. Also installed the rear seat braces and pinion snubber.

PART E - BODY & PAINT:  Body is in fair condition and paint is original.  The interior had minor wear and tear which was fixed…other then that the interior is clear and original.

PART F - PERFORMANCE:  The GN was at Bowling Green "GS Nationals 2004" and at the Midwest Buick Challenge 2004 in Morocco, IN.  The best track time was in August 2004 two weeks before Midwest Challenge ran 11.20s @ 119 mph. very conservative on the boost.

PART F - OTHER: Upgraded the factory gauges to VDO gauges.  oil temp, water temp on the center console and on the drive side pillar three gauges trans gauge from auto meter, boost gauge from VDO and an knock detector from Casper Electronics.
