CLASS:  XHP - Extreme High Performance in Competition ( 7-10 second cars )

PART A - OWNERSHIP:  I bought my GN brand new on August 4th,1987.  The current mileage is 8,600 kms. (On canadian vehicles, mileage is shown  in kilometers, not miles ).

PART B - MOTOR:

 
  • Stock 3.8 block with steel main caps.
  • Stock crankshaft & connecting rods.
  • TRW forged pistons.
  • Champion ported and polished original heads, with larger valves.
  • Stock ported intake manifold.
  • 72# Siemens injectors.
  • Kenne-Bell roller rockers with black powder coated valve covers.
  • Adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
  • 62 mm. throttle body.
  • Roller timing chain.
  • Precision roller cam & lifters.
  • Kenne-Bell headers.
  • ATR 3in. stainless steel downpipe.
  • ATR ''Single Shot'' fully polished stainless steel exhaust system.
  • Percision front-mount intercooler.
  • Chromed pulleys, fuel rail, steel vacuum lines & vacuum block, intake
  • Plenum, custom turbo cover, intercooler pipes.
  • 63-1 Garrett turbocharger.
  • Translator Plus with LS-1 mass air flow sensor.
  • Taylor Spiro-Pro ''409'' 10.4 mm. spark plus wires.
  • Casper volt booster & hot wire kit.
  • Fully working heater and air conditioner.
  • Walbro 340 in-tank fuel pump with Bosch external pump.

PART C - TRANNY:  Original 200-4R transmission completely rebuilt including bullet-proof internal parts, and trans-brake by Eric Shertz ( Hi-Pro transmissions). Art Carr 9 in. 3500 rpm stall torque converter. External front-mounted transmission oil cooler. Stock rear axle housing with stock gears, bullet-proof Moser spool & axles, & c-clip eliminator kit. Aluminum drive shaft with Mark Williams front yoke.

PART D - SUSPENSION: Air bags in both rear coil springs. Complete H&R rear suspension including upper adjustable control arms, lower control arms & sway bar. QA1 adjustable rear shocks. Kirban GNX reproduction axle cover.

PART E - BODY & PAINT:  Body is 100% stock but has been wet-sanded and clear-coated. Fiberglass front bumper and hood. Front wheels are stock 15x7 in. with Futura P215-65R-15 tires and rear are custom-made 15x8 in. stock appearing GN wheels with Good Year Eagle II P275-60-15. Wheels for racing are 15x3.5 in. Monocoque Superlites with Jetzon Gemini P215-75-15 fronts, with Monocoque Superlite 15x8.5 in. rear with Phoenix F/X 10.5x28.5 slicks. Interior is stock with the addition of an NHRA legal roll bar mandatory for racing, RJC 5-point harness, VDO oil pressure and boost gauge, Summit air/fuel ratio gauge and Casper knock gauge, and Scanmaster scan tool.

PART F - PERFORMANCE: Best time ever is 10.88 @ 122.89 mph at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Englishtown, N.J. in Sept. 2004
