GNREGISTRY ID: BGN00168C

E-MAIL: gkar1@aol.com
CLASS: Street, Strip and Show
PART A - OWNERSHIP: I'm the third
owner of this 1987 Buick Grand National with 19,400 original miles on
the odometer. I bought this car from the previous owner 5 yrs ago with a
then odometer reading of 16,444 miles.
PART B -MOTOR: The engine
modifications are as follows, turbo shield replaced with aluminum one,
powerplate to maximize air flow to the cylinders, stronger valve
springs, oil pump booster plate, 4 row radiator. Red Armstrong chip, 3
inch downpipe, catalytic converter replaced with smaller better flowing
one, Magnaflow dual exhaust with TA49 turbo completes the mods as of
this time...
PART C - TRANNY: Original
transmission and rear end, shift kit installed.
PART D - SUSPENSION: Orignal
Powermaster brakes system, front rotors replaced with better then OEM
ones from the Tirerack and SSBC calipers and Hawk brake pads for better
stopping performance, and what an improvement that was. Original rear
drums.
Suspension: Bilstein shocks all around with Eibach performance springs
lowering the car an inch from stock ride height, wheels original and
tires are replacement factory original Goodyear tires.
PART E - BODY & PAINT: Original
stock condition maintained...body bushings replaced and/or added GNX
bushing in the rear front and rear braces installed. Interior is all
original never smoked in (headliner replacement in progress)
Paint is original from bumper to bumper, yep, the same bad GM paint job
all these girls got, but most people think it's a repaint...all that
buffing and waxing paid off....someday maybe a $5000 repaint might be in
order...
PART F - PERFORMANCE: This car ran
the quarter mile in 13.40 at 100 mph before mods were made, however that
timeslip was lost; Englishtown, NJ did not get the chance to see what
she can do lately with the current mods, but a mid to high 12 second car
-- she definitely is....
PART G - OTHER: This car is now a
signature series Grand National signed buy the original designer of this
Buick, Rolin "Molly" Sanders at a Kirban Performance car show -- October
2002. VIN # documented in one of Kirban's newsletters March of last
year. See above photo.... |
